GM Yasser Seirawan played 30 board chess simultaneous started around 7:30 pm yesterday and nearly ended 1am. Dato Tan Chin Nam & several MCF officials were also challenging the GM Yasser Seirawan. GM Yasser won 25 games, 2 losses and 3 draws played over 4 1/2 hours.

Yasser Seirawan is a chess grandmaster and .4-time US-champion. He was winner of the World Junior Chess Championship in 1979. Seirawan is also a respected chess author and commentator. Seirawan began playing chess at 12; at 13 he became Washington junior champion. At 19 he won the World Junior Chess Championship. He also won a game against Victor Korchnoi, who then invited Seirawan to Switzerland, where Korchnoi was training for his world title match against Anatoly Karpov.
