Possible Gold for Malaysia in U-9 Girls Asian School !

Under 9 Girls Category

Teh De Zen just won her game against Kothalawala of Sri Lanka with the perfect score of 8/8 and still leading the pack by 1 point. She might meet Herath or Thuduwage Yasasirini Pabasara from Sri Lanka for the last round. Most probably will be Herath if my calculations are correct.

Under 9 Category

Teh De Juan is still fighting against the Indian 1st seed Aryan Chopra with material even. Let me give some insight of Aryan Chopra. Aryan is just only 8 years old and hailed from Delhi. He’s one of the chess prodigy in India just like our Malaysian Yeoh Li Tian whom is playing at the Penang Heritage Open 2010 currently. He recently become Commonwealth under-10 champion, Asian Under-8 Gold Medalist and others. Click here to read more on Aryan. As I recalled in the Penang Heritage Open 2010, there were 2 chess prodigies playing. The other prodigy was Paulo Bersamina from Phillipines. He was the recent 3rd placing winner in the Asian Youth in Beijing & also the next Wesley So according to the NCFP of Phillipines, Pichay.

De Zen Remain Unstoppable, De Juan Drew in Round 7 Asian Schools 2010

Under 9 Category

Teh De Juan drew against Australian Rowan and he will be playing top seed from India Aryan Chopra. So far for this round Aryan remained unbeaten together with his countrymen Rajayran. Aryan is leading the field by 1/2 point with the nearest is Fendereski (6 points). De Juan scored 5 points out of 7 games so far. He needs to win this game for top 3. Do your best in this game & enjoy the game.

Under 9 Girls Category

Teh De Zen  continues her gallant win against Sri Lankan Raveendran Kamshajini with 7/7 perfect score. She will face either Herath, Fernando WCV or Kothalawala whom all from Sri Lanka. Great job & keep it up!

Malaysians STILL ON FIRE in ASIAN SCHOOLS

Under 9 Category

Teh De Juan just won his game against Sri Lankan Weerasinghe W A C D. He now has 4.5 points out of 6 games. He needs to try to win the remaining 3 rounds to get top 3. In the round 7, he will meet Australian Willathgamuwa Rowan. If De Juan wins, according to my calculation he will face 1st seed Aryan Chopra no matter what’s the result for round 8. Malaysia Boleh!!

Under 9 Girls Category

Teh De Zen is on fire after winning Fernando Roshana from Sri Lanka this round. So far is still perfect score 6/6. In the round 7, she will meet another Sri Lankan Raveendran Kamshajini . She should be able to win this game. If she wins, she will face either Herath, Fernando WCV or Kothalawala. All of them are from Sri Lanka. 1st seed Indian Harshini suffered double knock out when lost to compatriot second seed Priyanka. Keep up the good work & enjoy your game!
