De Zen, Nabila & Najiha won while Amier drew the first round in WYCC 2009



From Turkey: Malaysian Contingent

Teh De Zen who is seeded 73 playing as white won against Marija Golubeva from Latvia in the Under 8 girls category. The Azman’s sister, Nur Nabila & Nur Najiha also won their respective games against Biryukova Anna from Russia in the U-12 girls category & Ulusoy Nİsan in the U-10 girls category. Amier Hamzah drew the first blood against Luka Oboladze from Georgia in the U-8 boys category.

Teh De Juan lost to Israel player Ariel Erenberg in the U-8. Mohd Irfan Haqqim B Azhar lost his games Huber Martin Christian from Austria in the U-12 Boys. Camilia Johari from KL lost to Indian Mahalakshmi Muganda Kumar in the U-12 girls category. Wong Jianwen from KL playing at the table 10 lost his game against Romanian Doros Radu-Marian while his compatriot Elgin Lee Kah Meng (Penang) also lost his game to Indian Sahoo Utkal Ranjan in the U-14 Boys category. Penangnite Hoh Tjinli having tough time against the host Sasmazel Burcu in the U-14 girls category. Sumant Subramaniam from Pahang lost his game to Indian Udeshi Aditya in the Under – 16 Boy Category.
