Lost in Translation

I was wondering last week how come there was no coverage on the two Sarawakians; Abang Draup Zamhari & Abang Azman Draup Hj who were playing at the Major Section Doeberl Cup 2009 which recently concluded. There were coverage on the Thailand Open but in Doeberl Cup nothing. Both of them were not like IM Mas who has his own trainer, GM Ian Rogers but to appreciate one person dedication of traveling to overseas to play chess especially in the back to back chess tournament like Thailand Open 2009 & Doeberl Cup 2009. From there in mv opinion, chess is their passion & in the perception as enjoyment to play & having fun. In fact how many of Malaysian players are willing to travel to overseas to participate in the competition besides Asean Age Group, World Youth, Singapore & Thailand Open? Are we willing to wait in Malaysia forever for 'goldmine' to come or are we willing to pursue our dreams like Abang Draup Zamhari & Abang Azman Draup Hj? Here I would like to summarize their performance.
